I have been part of the All Star Martial Arts family since 2002. For 12 years, I trained regularly, participated in many tournaments, and did rank testing until I achieved the 4th degree black belt designation. They had invested their energy and time to train and encourage me, and helped me achieve my dream of becoming World Champion in 2010. Even though I have not been actively training anymore the last 8 years, I have remained in close contact with my master instructors, who have become my friends and family. I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to train with the best masters in taekwondo, and I have become a better person knowing them. All Star Martial Arts is not just a school; it’s a community. My relationship with them is not merely transactional; it’s a family. We take care of each other and support each other. Ten years ago, when my daughter was very ill for a prolonged period time, the masters and instructors of All Star Martial Arts were there with us all the way. They helped my daughter and our family in a very significant and meaningful way. That’s the kind of relationship we share. Taekwondo is not just a sport. It’s a way of life. It’s about loyalty, discipline, and excellence. It’s about having the courage to defend the defenseless, speak up for those who don’t have a voice, and lift up those who are down. These are the values I learned from my masters at All Star Martial Arts. I am forever grateful to them for the experiences, the lessons, and the friendships I gained along the way.
Bobbie got all A’s in 7th grade and she got a card for a free uniform and a free week of lessons at All Star Martial Arts. Just for fun we decided to give it a try. Bobbie loved it! She grew her confidence and leadership skills and in time began working in Bryant. Her job helped her learn to stay calm under pressure and this is an amazing life skill. She had a lot of fun interacting with parents and children and we treasure her time at All Star. She worked from age 15 to 18 and graduated with a 4.25 GPA, taking AP classes. Bobbie graduated early in December and was able to work for Kirby Marine as a deckhand traveling to Galveston, NOLA, Baton Rouge, Memphis, Paducha, and Lexington.Being a young female traveling alone across the South, we are grateful for her confidence and self defense skills learned at All Star. Bobbie received nominations from Congressman French Hill, and Senators John Bozeman and Tom Cotton to attend The United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. She had an overnight campus visit this Spring and LOVED IT!!! Next year she will go to Sea and get to visit up to 21 different countries. We are so very excited about this next chapter and we thank All Star for helping grow Bobbie into the person she is today.
Wonderful teachers and great atmosphere. So glad I enrolled my child. She truly enjoy herself every class.
